Suncoast Automotive Services was established in 1975 by Russell Houghton and has been operating on the Sunshine Coast since that time. The business is centrally located and operates from well-equipped premises at 10 Kelly Court, Maroochydore, in the same street as Queensland Transport.

The business became an RACQ Approved Repairer in 1984 and RACQ inspectors attend the premises to carry out the RACQ inspections for the Sunshine Coast area.
